Well, as March arrives, our EGS teams will now be busy teasing out spring weeds and pruning back shrubs such as Cornus and most types of hydrangea. Of course, the noise of lawnmowers will hit our gardens too! Luckily, our commitment to battery power means our mowers are quieter and better for the environment.
Tempted to get out or your garden? A few jobs to waken those under used muscles.
– Hard prune Cornus- look for coloured stems and deciduous grasses to make way for new growth in March.
– Give lawns their first cut – if long, shorten over time rather than all at once.
– Go after unwanted weeds when they are young, take care not to disturb any spring bulbs sending up new growth.
Enjoy the fresh air!
